Eyup Sultan Mosque Directions

Eyüp Sultan Mosque is located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, on the western shore of the Golden Horn. Official address: Eyüp Merkez, Camii Kebir Cd. 34050 Eyüpsultan/Istanbul. You can easily reach it by public transportation from almost anywhere in Istanbul. Here are all transportation options:

By Metro (Fastest Route)

\n\n

The most practical way to reach Eyüp Sultan Mosque is via the M7 Mecidiyekoy - Mahmutbey line and connecting metro lines. However, the most direct access from the Asian side is via the M4 Kadikoy - Sabiha Gokcen line with a Marmaray transfer.

From Taksim / Beyoglu:

• Continue from Halic to Eyup by bus or minibus (approximately 10 min)

By Sea (Most Enjoyable Route)

Golden Horn ferries are the most scenic and enjoyable way to reach Eyüp Sultan. We highly recommend this especially for first-time visitors.

• Board the ferry from Eminonu (Halic pier)

• The ferry stops at Kasimpasa, Fener, Balat, Haskoy, and Ayvansaray piers
\n
• Get off at Eyup pier
\n
• Walking distance from the pier to the mosque is only 5 minutes

Ferry schedules vary by season. Weekday and weekend services may differ. Check the Istanbul Sehir Hatlari website for current schedules.

Throughout the ferry journey, you will have the opportunity to see the historic buildings on both sides of the Golden Horn, the colorful houses of Fener-Balat, and the silhouette of Eyüp Sultan Mosque. This journey of approximately 35-40 minutes is an Istanbul experience in itself.
