Every day: It operates between 08:00 - 22:00. The last ride departs at 22:00. It may be temporarily closed on maintenance days; it is recommended to check the IETT website before your visit.
Travel time: One way takes approximately 3 minutes. The cabins are in constant motion, and the waiting time generally does not exceed 5-10 minutes.
Fare and Payment
Boarding is done with an Istanbulkart. The fare is charged at the standard public transport rate. Transfer discounts apply; if you transfer from a metro or bus, you pay a reduced fare. Cash payment is not accepted.
View and Experience
Throughout the cable car ride, the magnificent panorama of the Golden Horn, the historic Eyup Cemetery, and the Istanbul silhouette unfold before your eyes. The ride at sunset hours offers unforgettable photo opportunities.
When you reach Pierre Loti Hill, you can sit at the historic cafe and enjoy the view over tea. On your return, instead of the cable car, you can walk down the path through the cemetery; this route takes about 15 minutes and provides an opportunity to see Ottoman tombstones up close.
