Information about wheelchair access, ramps, and facilities for disabled visitors at Eyup Sultan Mosque.

Mosque Interior Access

Eyüp Sultan Mosque has made various arrangements for comfortable access for disabled visitors. There is a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance of the mosque. Movement with a wheelchair is possible in the interior as the floor is flat. Special areas are reserved for disabled worshippers during prayers. Mosque staff assist disabled visitors.

Tomb Access

A ramp arrangement has also been made for access to Eyüp Sultan Tomb. However, due to the narrow interior of the tomb, wheelchair entry may be difficult during busy hours. Visiting during quiet hours is recommended. Tomb staff give priority to disabled visitors and provide necessary assistance.

Surrounding Arrangements

The sidewalks and roads around the mosque are generally suitable for wheelchair passage. Eyüp square has a flat surface. However, the walking path to Pierre Loti Hill is not suitable for disabled persons; the cable car can be used instead. Assistance from staff is available for wheelchair boarding of cable car cabins.

Restrooms and Ablution Area

• An accessible restroom is available on the mosque's lower floor
• The ablution area has arrangements for performing ablution while seated
• Mosque staff can provide accompaniment for visually impaired visitors
• Written information boards are available for hearing-impaired visitors
• Disabled parking spaces are available in limited numbers near the mosque
