The walking route from Haliç Metro Bridge to Eyüp Sultan Mosque is approximately 4 kilometers long and can be completed in 50-60 minutes at a normal pace. You can start the walk by getting off at the Haliç station on the M2 metro line. This route, which follows the northern shore of the Haliç, offers a comfortable walk on flat, paved ground.
Route Details
After exiting Haliç station, follow the waterfront road. Along the route you will pass through the following points:
• Haskoy: Historic Jewish quarter and Rahmi Koc Museum
• Sutluce: Congress center and modern waterfront development
• Silahdaraga: Santralistanbul culture and arts center
• Eyüp Waterfront: Fishing harbor and tea gardens
• Eyüp Pier: The point where Haliç ferries dock
Places to See
The most notable stop on this route is the Rahmi M. Koc Museum. Established in an Ottoman-era anchor foundry building, this industrial museum displays classic cars, trains, aircraft, and a submarine. Entry to the museum is paid, but even a one-hour visit is very enjoyable. Additionally, the Energy Museum at Santralistanbul can be visited free of charge.
