A comprehensive guide about the importance of the five holy nights in Islam, the acts of worship and prayers for these nights.

Holy nights (Kandil) are blessed nights of special importance in Islam and represent opportunities for spiritual purification and worship for Muslims. There are five holy nights: Mawlid Kandil, Ragaib Kandil, Mi'raj Kandil, Bara'ah Kandil, and Laylat al-Qadr. These nights are special times when Allah's mercy descends abundantly, prayers are accepted, and sins are forgiven.

Mawlid Kandil is the night of the birth of Prophet Muhammad and is observed on the twelfth night of the month of Rabi al-Awwal. Ragaib Kandil is the first Friday night of the month of Rajab and heralds the beginning of the three sacred months. Mi'raj Kandil is the night when the Prophet ascended to the heavens and is observed on the twenty-seventh night of Rajab.

Bara'ah Kandil is the fifteenth night of the month of Sha'ban and is the night when the fates of servants for the coming year are written. Laylat al-Qadr is the most virtuous night, and it is stated in the Holy Quran: "The Night of Power is better than a thousand months."

Acts of worship for holy nights include performing voluntary prayers, reading the Holy Quran, making repentance and seeking forgiveness, making abundant supplication, and giving charity. Reading Surah Yasin, performing the prayer of glorification, and spending the night in worship are common practices.
