Stories of the Prophets in the Holy Quran

<p>The names of twenty-five prophets are mentioned and their stories are told in the Holy Quran. These stories are not merely historical events but contain universal messages and lessons for humanity. In Surah Yusuf: "There is certainly a lesson in their stories for people of understanding." <br/> <br/>Prophet Nuh's struggle with his people exemplifies patience and determination; Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice in the way of Allah exemplifies submission; Prophet Musa's stand against Pharaoh exemplifies courage; and Prophet Yusuf's trials exemplify patience at its finest. <br/> <br/>Prophet Sulayman's justice, Prophet Ayyub's patience, Prophet Yunus's repentance, and Prophet Isa's mercy are also among the important stories in the Quran. These stories describe the problems faced by different communities in different periods and how the prophets provided solutions. <br/> <br/>Every Muslim should learn the stories of the prophets and draw lessons for their lives. Teaching children the stories of the prophets greatly contributes to their moral development.</p>
