Explore the connection between Pierre Loti Hill and Eyup Sultan, offering stunning views of the Golden Horn and a rich cultural history.

Pierre Loti Hill is a historic location situated on the slope right behind Eyüp Sultan Mosque, famous for its magnificent Golden Horn view. The hill takes its name from the French writer Pierre Loti.\n\nPierre Loti (1850-1923), whose real name was Louis Marie Julien Viaud, was a French naval officer and writer. His passion for Istanbul and the time he spent on this hill watching the Golden Horn view during his stays in the city led to the hill being named after him.\n\nThere are two options to reach the hill:\n1. On foot (15-20 minutes): The path through the historic cemetery starting from Eyüp Sultan Mosque\n2. By cable car (5 minutes): The modern cable car system\n\nAt the historic coffeehouse on the hill, you can enjoy the unique view of the Golden Horn while drinking Turkish coffee. Especially at sunset hours, this place takes on an enchanting atmosphere.
