The importance of Ramadan, acts of worship for this month, tarawih prayer, i'tikaf, and information about the Night of Power.

Ramadan is known as the sultan of the eleven months and is the most virtuous month in the Islamic calendar. The Holy Quran was revealed in this month, fasting was made obligatory, and the Night of Power was placed within it. The Prophet said: "When Ramadan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained."

Tarawih prayer is a worship unique to Ramadan and is performed in twenty units in congregation. The Quran is recited in completion at mosques, and the spiritual atmosphere reaches its peak. Gathering at iftar tables and sharing food with neighbors and those in need are among the finest traditions of Ramadan.

The last ten days of Ramadan are especially precious. The Prophet would intensify worship during these days, enter i'tikaf, and search for the Night of Power. I'tikaf is secluding oneself in the mosque for worship, withdrawing from worldly preoccupations. The Night of Power is better than a thousand months, and whoever observes it gains immense reward.

Ramadan is also a period when social solidarity reaches its peak. Fitr charity and zakat are given in this month, donations to charitable organizations increase, and those in need are reached. Every Muslim should strive to make the most of Ramadan.
