Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we reflect on brotherhood and solidarity in Islam. Allah says: "The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brothers." (Al-Hujurat, 49:10)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) described the Muslim ummah as one body: "The example of the believers in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion is like one body. When one limb aches, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever." (Muslim)
Building True Brotherhood
Islamic brotherhood transcends race, nationality, and social status. It is built on faith, love for Allah's sake, and mutual support. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Let us strengthen the bonds between us by greeting each other with salam, visiting the sick, attending funerals, helping those in difficulty, and forgiving one another's mistakes. In times of division and conflict, the world needs the example of Islamic brotherhood more than ever. May Allah unite our hearts and strengthen our bonds. Amin.
