Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we remind ourselves of the importance of salah – the prayer – the pillar of our faith. Allah says: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater." (Al-Ankabut, 29:45)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The first thing a person will be asked about on the Day of Judgment is prayer. If it is sound, all other deeds will be sound. If it is deficient, all other deeds will be deficient." (Tabarani)
Guarding Our Prayers
Salah is not a burden; it is a gift – a direct conversation with our Lord five times a day. It is a source of peace, guidance, and strength. When the Prophet faced any difficulty, he would say: "O Bilal, give us comfort through prayer."
Let us not neglect this fundamental pillar. Let us strive to pray on time, with focus and humility. Let us bring our families to prayer and make our mosques vibrant with worshippers. A nation that prays is a nation that prospers. May Allah make us among those who establish prayer perfectly. Amin.
