Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we reflect on the value of time – one of the greatest blessings Allah has given us. Allah swears by time in the Quran: "By time, indeed mankind is in loss, except for those who believe and do righteous deeds and advise each other to truth and advise each other to patience." (Al-Asr, 103:1-3)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free time before your busyness, and your life before your death." (Hakim)
Making Every Moment Count
Time is the most precious resource we have, and it is the only resource that cannot be recovered once lost. Every passing moment brings us closer to our meeting with Allah. Are we spending our time in ways that please Him?
Let us fill our hours with beneficial knowledge, acts of worship, service to others, and meaningful work. Let us reduce idle talk, excessive entertainment, and wasted hours on social media. A believer treats time as a sacred trust. May Allah help us use our time wisely and productively. Amin.
