Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we reflect on the source of peace in the family: mercy and love. Allah says: "And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He placed between you affection and mercy." (Ar-Rum, 30:21)
The family is the foundation of society and a school where good morals, justice, and virtue are taught. When families are strong and harmonious, communities thrive. When families break apart, the whole social fabric weakens.
Building a Home of Peace
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the best example of a family man. He helped with household chores, played with his grandchildren, and treated his wives with kindness and respect. He said: "The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best among you to my family." (Tirmidhi)
Mercy and love are the two pillars that sustain a family. Let us fill our homes with gentle words, patience, mutual respect, and sincere prayers for one another. Let us protect our families from anger, neglect, and the distractions of modern life. May Allah bless our homes with peace and happiness. Amin.
