Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we explore the etiquette and power of supplication – dua. Allah says: "And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will respond to you." (Ghafir, 40:60). And: "When My servants ask you about Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of every supplicant when he calls upon Me." (Al-Baqarah, 2:186)
Dua is the essence of worship. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Dua is worship." (Tirmidhi). It is our direct line to Allah, available at any time, in any place, in any language.
The Etiquette of Dua
When making dua, begin with praising Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet. Be sincere, humble, and persistent. Ask with certainty that Allah will respond. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Call upon Allah while you are certain of a response." (Tirmidhi)
Choose blessed times: the last third of the night, between adhan and iqamah, during prostration, and on Friday. And never say, "I made dua but it was not answered." Allah responds in the best way and at the best time. May Allah accept all our sincere supplications. Amin.
