Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we speak about the blessings of charity – sadaqah – one of the most beloved deeds to Allah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." (Tirmidhi)
Allah promises: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears, and in each ear there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies His reward for whom He wills." (Al-Baqarah, 2:261)
Charity Beyond Money
Charity in Islam extends beyond financial giving. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Every act of kindness is sadaqah." (Bukhari). A smile, a kind word, removing an obstacle from the road, helping someone carry their burden, and even speaking gently – all are charity.
The best charity is that which is given regularly, even if small. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small." (Bukhari). Let us make sadaqah a daily habit. May Allah accept our charity and multiply its reward. Amin.
