Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we address the sacred responsibility of raising righteous children. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Allah commands: "O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire." (At-Tahrim, 66:6). The greatest gift we can give our children is not wealth or status, but a strong foundation of faith and good character.
Nurturing Faith in Children
The Prophet (pbuh) treated children with love and respect. He would kiss his grandchildren, play with them, and teach them through kindness. He said: "Be kind to your children and perfect their manners." (Ibn Majah)
Teach your children to pray, to love the Quran, to respect elders, and to be honest. Be role models – children learn more from what we do than what we say. Create a home environment filled with love, worship, and Islamic values. May Allah bless our children and make them the coolness of our eyes. Amin.
