Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we speak about the love of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) – a love that is integral to our faith. The Prophet said: "None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his children, and all of mankind." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Allah Himself praises the Prophet: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character." (Al-Qalam, 68:4). And He commands us: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace." (Al-Ahzab, 33:56)
Expressing Our Love
True love for the Prophet is demonstrated through following his Sunnah, studying his life (Sirah), sending blessings upon him, and striving to embody his character. He was the most kind, generous, brave, and just of people.
Let us teach our children about his life, read his biography, and make his example our guide. The more we know him, the more we love him. May Allah increase our love for His Messenger and grant us his intercession. Amin.
