Evening Prayer (Maghrib)

The Maghrib (Evening) prayer consists of a total of 5 rak'ahs: 3 rak'ahs fard + 2 rak'ahs sunnah. In Maghrib prayer, the fard is performed first, then the sunnah. MAGHRIB PRAYER FARD (3 Rak'ahs): 1. In the first two rak'ahs, al-Fatiha and a surah are recited. 2. Sit after the second rak'ah, recite At-Tahiyyatu, then stand up. 3. In the third rak'ah, only al-Fatiha is recited. 4. In the final sitting, recite At-Tahiyyatu, the salawat, and Rabbana atina, then give salam. MAGHRIB PRAYER SUNNAH (2 Rak'ahs): Performed like the sunnah of Fajr prayer, as 2 rak'ahs. Note: It is recommended (mustahabb) not to delay Maghrib prayer since its time is short.
