The Assistant Prophet

Prophet Harun (peace be upon him) was the elder brother of Musa and a prophet appointed by Allah to assist Musa. When Musa received his prophetic mission, he asked Allah to appoint his brother Harun as his vizier, and this prayer was accepted. Harun was a prophet distinguished by his eloquence. During the invitation to Pharaoh, Harun stood beside Musa, and together they carried out the struggle for monotheism. When Musa went to Mount Tur, he left Harun in charge of the Children of Israel. A man named Samiri led the people to worship a golden calf. Harun tried to prevent them but the people did not listen to him. The story of Harun demonstrates the importance of cooperation in religious service, the strength of the bond of brotherhood, and the difficulties of inviting people to the right path.
