Prophet of Knowledge and Wisdom

Prophet Idris (peace be upon him) is one of the prophets mentioned by name in the Holy Quran and is known as a prophet of knowledge and wisdom. According to narrations, Idris was a descendant of Adam and is regarded as the first person in human history to write with a pen, teach knowledge through writing, and engage in the study of celestial bodies. Prophet Idris conveyed the oneness of Allah to his people and invited them to the straight path. He taught people many crafts and sciences. It is narrated that he was the first to introduce the art of tailoring and the first to use weights and measures. The Holy Quran states about Idris: "And mention in the Book, Idris. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. And We raised him to a high station." The story of Idris emphasizes the importance of knowledge and wisdom. It teaches the necessity of doing beneficial work for humanity, striving to earn the pleasure of Allah, and never departing from truthfulness.
