Mercy to the Worlds - The Final Prophet

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the last prophet sent by Allah to humanity and is known as "Khatam al-Anbiya," meaning the Seal of the Prophets, and "Rahmatan lil-Alamin," meaning a Mercy to the Worlds. He was born in Mecca in the year 571. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) received the first revelation at the age of forty in the Cave of Hira. The revelation process, which began with the verse "Read! In the name of your Lord who created," continued for twenty-three years and the Holy Quran was completed. He faced great hardships in Mecca for thirteen years, and then migrated to Medina. In Medina, he laid the foundations of the Islamic state and established bonds of brotherhood between the Ansar and the Muhajirun. In 630, he conquered Mecca and declared a general amnesty, displaying an unparalleled example of mercy. During the Farewell Pilgrimage, he addressed more than one hundred thousand companions. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was not only a prophet but also an exemplary statesman, a compassionate husband and father, a just judge, and the finest example of morality for all of humanity. He passed away in 632, leaving behind the Holy Quran as a guide for all mankind.
