Prophet of Sovereignty and Wisdom

Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) was the son of Dawud and was a prophet-king endowed with an unprecedented sovereignty and wisdom. The wind was placed under his command, and jinn and devils worked under his authority. One of the greatest miracles given to Sulayman was the ability to understand the language of animals. While passing through the Valley of Ants, he heard the warning of an ant and smiled, giving thanks to Allah. The Queen of Sheba, Bilqis, embraced faith upon seeing Sulayman's magnificent palace and wisdom. Despite the enormous power he possessed, Sulayman never became arrogant and expressed gratitude to Allah at every opportunity. His story teaches the transience of worldly blessings and that true greatness lies in servitude to Allah.
