Patience and Trust in God

Prophet Yaqub (peace be upon him) was the son of Ishaq and the grandson of Ibrahim, also known by the name Israel. He had twelve sons, and Yaqub was particularly known for his love for his son Yusuf. Yaqub's most severe trial was when his beloved son Yusuf was thrown into a well by his brothers and he was told that Yusuf had died. Yaqub said, "My patience is a beautiful patience." Over the years, his eyes turned white from weeping in longing for Yusuf, and he lost his sight. Yet he never lost hope in Allah. Finally, he was reunited with Yusuf in Egypt and his eyesight was restored. The story of Yaqub is one of the most beautiful examples of patience, trust in Allah, and never falling into despair.
