يوسف

Prophet of Beauty and Wisdom

Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him) was the son of Yaqub and is the prophet whose story is narrated in the greatest detail in the Holy Quran. It is described as "Ahsan al-Qasas," meaning the best of stories. Thrown into a well by his brothers at a young age, Yusuf was sold as a slave in Egypt. He rejected the temptation of the Aziz's wife Zulaikha, saying "I seek refuge in Allah," and was falsely accused and thrown into prison. Known in prison for his ability to interpret dreams, Yusuf interpreted the dream of the King of Egypt and was released from prison, being appointed as the treasurer of Egypt. During the famine, he encountered his brothers and forgave them. The story of Yusuf is the finest example of patience, chastity, forgiveness, trust in Allah, and the fact that Allah's plan is above everything.
